What San José lacks in party-hearty nightlife, it easily makes up in culinary sophistication. It's hard to get a bad meal here, and easy to get a great one. This guide simply doesn't have enough room to go into detail about every restaurant that's worth your attention, such as Morgan's (tel. 624/142-3825) Tuscan-inspired steakhouse; the Art District Mexican Jazmin (tel. 624/142-1760); the oh-la-la pastry bar French Riviera (tel. 624/104-3125); the dirt-cheap and delicious Taquería El Fogón (tel. 624/168-8982); the romantic colonial Meson del Angel (tel. 624/142-2828); the all-organic Sabor de Amor (tel. 624/142-3794); the old-school Italian favorite, La Dolce (tel. 624/142-6621); and the patio-style Euromexican flavors of Voilá (tel. 624/130-7569). What's listed is a cross section of what's available. ¡Buen provecho!

Going Green in Los Cabos -- The last years have brought a tinge of green to these desert shores, and now it's relatively easy to find locally-grown organic vegetables, from nearby Miraflores and the West Cape's Pescadero, and vegetarian menus in Los Cabos (although organic meat is still something of a specialty item).
