How expensive is Bhutan?

by JenTay »

This is another place that interests me, but I've heard that you have to get a special license from the government to go there and that makes it really pricey. Is that true? Or is it just a normal visa?

To keep tourism limited, the Bhutanese government requires that all visitors travel with a tour company. And that increases the price of a visit here dramatically. Depending on the season, the base price (before food and other incidentals) can be $200 a day or more. That being said, it's a magical place to visit.

I very enjoyed Bhutan .Everything from wondering climbing trails, photography and natural life review chances, to stargazing or indeed, sculling. There is such a great amount of to do at any of these stops and its a fabulous path to invest time with the crew. Incredible for all a long time, instructive and the greater part of all, the peacefulness of parks makes for an exceptionally unwinding background.

yes it is true that if you want to travel to Bhutan you have to go there with any travel agency or company, so try to search 2 3 companies and compare them, which ever is least expensive go for it. as far as your vissa issue is concern, confirm it from the embassy.

First of all Depend, your residence, If  you are the Citizens of Bangladesh, India, and Maldives do not need a visa and a booking with a licensed tour operator to visit Bhutan, provided they have a passport valid for at least six months from the date of entry. I was there for fifteen days through local travel agency Bhutan Mahayana Tour. otherwise, if you have known any information about visa for travel to Bhutan then you can direct contact the local Bhutan tour operator.I hope it will help you.

All tourists to Bhutan have to route through a local tour company. The daily tariff is fixed by the government. It is US$ 200 for the months of June, July, August, December, January and February and US$ 250 a day for the remaining six months.

The tariff is inclusive of 3* accomodation, a professional guide, a SUV vehicle to drive you around, all 3 meals of the day and all entry tickets to museums etc.

As Tenzin rai pointed out, visa on arrival is given to citizens of India, Bangladesh and The Maldives for whom the tariff is not applicable.

You can book your trip to Bhutan through local tour companies. You also have to wire the money in advance but it is also safe to wire the money in advance as it is regulated by the government.

You can contact local tour companies and even ask for discounts.

All the best if you wish to visit Bhutan.
