Please note the opening dates are tentative as hotels are notorious for delays. For advance reservations, it’s best to make your booking over the phone so someone can assure you that the hotel will open by your travel dates. Or hold off until you know for sure the hotel is operating.

1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge
Brooklyn’s revitalized riverfront park at the foot of the Brooklyn Bridge will be anchored by the eco-conscious 1 Hotels brand, which seeks to balance the typical wastefulness of a hotel stay with green amenities and services. The 194-room guestrooms are inspired by nature and use reclaimed materials in their design. Eco-friendly mattresses topped with organic bedding, water filters, yoga mats, a Tesla car service, and farm-to-table fare from chef Seamus Mullen are just some of the mindful elements of this 1 Hotel. A full-service spa, a screening room, and a rooftop plunge pool with clear views of the East River and the Manhattan skyline will add to the wow factor.
Opening date: Late 2016

Freehand Downtown Los Angeles
The “good vibes only” hostel brand will open its third American location in the heart of downtown, which has been sprung back to life over the past few years. The Asbury Hotel
Asbury Park, New Jersey, whose boardwalk was immortalized by native son Bruce Springsteen on his debut album, will get its first hotel in over 30 years just in time for the summer. A once-abandoned Salvation Army building will turn into a 110-room casual and fun boutique hotel, offering nine room types ranging from the usual queens and doubles to pleasantly designed bunk bed rooms. Downstairs will have a “grab-and-go” Counter cafe while the rooftop lounge will host weekly movie nights.

Ace Hotel New Orleans

Ace Hotels, the Seattle-born hipster hotel brand, will take on the Big Easy in March, opening in a former furniture company’s headquarters in the Warehouse District, just a quick walk from the French Quarter. The Ace will have 234 rooms, a restaurant, bar, Stumptown Coffee shop and a rooftop swimming pool, along with the usual Ace amenities such as free Wi-Fi, curated mini-bars, Rudy’s toiletries and custom-designed Pendleton quilts. Suites will have both Martin guitars and turntables should the local music scene inspire guests to create their own riffs and ditties.
Opening Date: Mid-March

Mason & Rook Hotel
All eyes are on Washington, D.C. in 2016, but not just because it’s an election year. The city’s about to get a few new hotels (one of which is a Trump) like the Mason & Rook Hotel, a boutique hotel located on 14th Street Northwest near many happening bars, galleries and restaurants. The larger-than-average guest rooms give off a manly vibe with a gray and orange color palette, dark woods, and worn leathers. House of Cards Frank Underwood would approve. The hotel’s Radiator restaurant promises to be, in the owners' words, a “foodie’s dream destination” while a rooftop bar will be the hangout spot during warmer months.
Opening date: April 1

tommie Hudson Square
As if hotel rooms couldn’t get any smaller in New York, here comes tommie, a micro-hotel concept aimed at savvy millennials. Yet what the rooms lack in space, they make-up for it with well-designed, functional furniture, giant windows, flip-down creative work stations, and plenty of cool tech. This tommie, located just west of SoHo, will also feature a cafeteria-style eatery from chef Harold Moore, a lobby bar, a courtyard space for cocktails and yoga, a 24-hour general store, and, as is de rigueur for urban hotels, a rooftop bar.
Opening Date: August 1

Andaz Scottsdale
Andaz, Hyatt Hotels’ design-oriented brand, will draw on the mid-century modernism style of the 1950s for their new Scottsdale resort. Bungalow-style guestrooms and suites (201 in all) will be spread out over 22 acres at the base of Camelback Mountain, decorated in peppy colors and accented with native folk art. A pool and vast sundeck along with a large spa and several restaurants round out the resort amenities while the Andaz Salon will offer guests interactive experiences local artists, musicians, and craftsman. (Andaz will have double-dose of desert retreats as Andaz Palm Springs will open in December.)
Opening Date: September

Moxy New Orleans
New Orleans will get a double dose of cool when the Moxy Hotel opens up shortly after the Ace Hotel. Although designed with millennial travelers in mind, Moxy (which is a part of the Marriott family of hotels) will actually appeal to travelers of all ages, thanks to its luxury-style bed, 42” LCD Tvs, and “furiously fast Wi-Fi,” all offered at an affordable rate. Downstairs, the lobby serves as a coffee house in the morning and a hand-crafted cocktail bar at night, with a 24/7 grab-and-go café on-site for a convenient breakfast  or to satisfy late-night munchies.
Opening date: April

Thompson Seattle
Thompson Hotels, which originated in New York's SoHo, are bringing their sexy sophistication to Seattle’s downtown, just above Pike Place Market. Promising a “refined edge,” the hotel’s 158 guest rooms and suites are inspired by the spirit of aviation (Boeing’s facilities are located just outside of Seattle) with unobstructed views of Puget Sound and the market. Free Wi-Fi, Frette linens and bathrobes, and a mini-bar personally approved by Chef Josh Henderson are just some of the luxury touches guests can expect.
Opening Date: July 1
