Las Vegas' 10 Swankiest V.I.P. Hotel Suites

By Jeannie Garcia
Frommer's asked online travel agency Vegas.com, which makes a business out of booking rooms in Sin City, to come up with a list of what it thought were the best suites in town. Most of us will never see the inside of these rooms in person, but it's fun to dream. Which suite would you rent if you had a stupid amount of money?

Here's what its "Vegas Insider," Jeannie Garcia, made of the challenge. "This is how I'd live it up if I hit the jackpot," she says.

Aria's Sky Villa
"At Aria’s Sky Villa, I’d be the star of the show. As soon as I'd enter, I’d be greeted with the window curtains automatically opening. Part of Aria’s Sky Suites collection, Sky Villas range 2,000–7,000 square feet and come in one or two-story retreats. Aside from its fancy, personalized curtain greeting, each Sky Villa has a private sauna, billiard room, and full-sized kitchen. Rates go from $3,500–$7,500 a night."

Caesars Palace's Marcus Aurelius (Spanish) Villa
"This 9,500-square-foot, three-bedroom villa comes with its own private elevator. Your friends can gush over the exotic fish tank, grand piano, and a mini-theater complete with massage chairs. These perks are great, but you'd find me outside. Overlooking the Garden of the Gods pool oasis, the villa’s private terrace has a whirlpool and fire pit. One night in a Caesars Palace villa can range $25,000–$40,000."
MGM Grand's SKYLOFT
MGM Resorts International
MGM Grand's SKYLOFT
"Located on the top two floors of MGM Grand, the Forbes Five-Star and AAA Five Diamond Skyloft has 24-foot floor-to-ceiling windows revealing gorgeous views of the famed skyline. For a three-bedroom Skyloft, you’re looking at $10,000 per night. I’d have fun simply telling my friends to come up to my loft."

"The two-story, 9,000-square-feet Sky Villa at The Palms has the sexy, sophisticated appeal of a Vegas nightclub. I’d hire my own DJ and section off a VIP area. Other highlights include an in-suite glass elevator, a glass-enclosed pool and private terraces. This Sky Villa costs $20,000 per night ($35,000 on the weekends)."
The Rio's Presidential Suite
Caesars Entertainment
The Rio's Presidential Suite
"Located at the Rio, this off-Strip suite is ideal for a nighttime rooftop pool party. Just imagine the insane fireworks show on New Year’s Eve or Fourth of July. That’s the only reason I need to stay here. This off-Strip suite is a popular one: You’ll have to call in advance to book. The suite starts at $2,250 per night."
The Mirage's Lanai Villa
MGM Resorts International
The Mirage's Lanai Villa
"The Mirages’s Lanai Villa brings paradise to your backyard, right on the Vegas Strip. Vegas may be far from the islands, but I’d be the first one singing “Kokomo.” You would too. We can bask in the villa’s private backyard and enjoy the pool, whirlpool and spa misters together. Lanai Villas come in one, two, or three-bedroom models and cost $1,500–$2,500 a night."
The Bellagio's Presidential Suite
MGM Resorts International
The Bellagio's Presidential Suite
"Located atop Bellagio’s Spa Tower, the two-bedroom 4,075-square-foot Presidential Suite comes with its own fireplace, a six-seat bar and a solarium, which is a private indoor garden with its own fountain. Forget sightseeing—I’d sip fine wine, catch up on reading, and admire my surroundings all day. Both master bedrooms have a whirlpool tub overlooking the city. The suite costs $6,000 a night."
The Palazzo's Presidential Suite

The Palazzo's Presidential Suite
"The 6,600-square-foot Palazzo Presidential suite has a balcony with breathtaking Las Vegas Strip views, a whirlpool, workout room, private massage parlor, and a living room. And a conversation piece: The Palazzo Presidential living room chandelier is made of custom hand-blown cascading glass spheres. This suite is available by invitation only."
The Venetian's Chairman Suite

The Venetian's Chairman Suite
"If you’re into Asian art, The Venetian’s 10,000-square-foot Chairman Suite does not disappoint. It’s like having your own museum, complete with fountains, ancient Asian artwork, and jade sculptures. Located on the hotel’s 36th floor, the four-bedroom suite has a private workout room, sauna, beauty salon, and a massage parlor. This suite is by invitation only, but if we had to put a price tag on it, you’re looking at $15,000 per night."

MGM Grand's The Mansion
"The Mansion is part of MGM Grand’s property, but it’s reserved only for high rollers and V.I.P.s. [editor note: The hotel even refused to send us photos—we found this one on our own.] Before you can even enter this Italian-style sanctuary, you have to take a private driveway. Villas range 2,000–12,000 square feet. The Mansion’s climate-controlled atrium and central pool garden stays at a cool 70–80F degrees. Available in one to four bedrooms, each of the 29 villas showcases the finest, most expensive antiques. I would love to wake up and admire the pool garden from my private balcony."
