The 9:30 Club is now a mini-dynasty, with the Lincoln Theatre and the Anthem part of the family. But this venue still rules. It’s a 1,200-person-capacity concert hall with excellent sightlines, state-of-the-art sound system, four bars, and most important, a nightly concert schedule that features every possible star, rising or arrived, in today’s varied rock world, from the Struts to Adele. It's frequently voted the best live-music venue, certainly in D.C., but also countrywide. Unless advertised as seated, all shows are standing room only, general admission.
