Getting There

Island Coach Lines (tel. 250/388-5248, or book through Greyhound tel. 800/661-8747; www.greyhound.ca) offers bus transport from Nanaimo to the Parksville and Qualicum area along the Hwy. 1/Hwy. 19 corridor; one-way fare from Victoria to Parksville is C$32. VIA Rail's E&N Railiner, or the Malahat (tel. 888/VIA-RAIL [842-7245] or 250/383-4324; www.viarail.ca), stops in both towns on its daily trip from Victoria to Courtenay. KD Air (tel. 800/665-4244, 604/688-9957, or 250/752-5884; www.kdair.com) flies daily from Vancouver to the Qualicum Beach Airport for C$245 round-trip. Otherwise, the closest available air service is at Nanaimo or Comox.
