An affordable version of Chef Christian Constant’s cuisine is on offer at this casual restaurant where everyone sits on a stool at the counter or a high table and almost all dishes are served in a cast iron cocotte (casserole). The hearty cocottes range from simple concoctions of caramelized potatoes with pig’s feet, to gourmet combinations of squab with preserved garlic, artichokes, and thyme-scented sweet peas. If you’re not that hungry, there are soups, light salads, and “verrines,” jam-jar-sized glass containers of pâté or other delicacies. Desserts include an oversized waffle with Chantilly cream and Constant’s signature chocolate tarte. There are two other branches of the restaurant. Reserve online.
