A fresh new look—new dark wood furnishings, granite countertops, flatscreen TVs, and clean white duvets—has enhanced what has always been a pleasant, family-friendly pick. Each room, updated in late 2013 and early 2014, is outfitted with two extra-long double beds or one king bed, kitchenettes, and pullout sofas. Oceanfront rooms have balconies but bayside rooms have a little more space. There's plenty of room for all the beach stuff and the boardwalk location means families can park their cars and forget them for the week.
