The music thumps, the seats are all high stools (though with backs, so you’re comfortable), and the din of happy voices around you make you feel like you’re at a bar rather than a restaurant. Then the food arrives, and it’s clear: You’re definitely at a fine-dining establishment, and one that’s at the top of its game. Traditional tapas are superb (such as the creamy croquettes and perfectly crisped patatas bravas), while the creative tapas are downright exhilarating (who would ever have guessed that raw scallops with yogurt, hazelnuts, and pomegranate seeds would be such a sublime combo?). The paella, artisanal cheese and meat plates, and sangria are top-notch, too. One suggestion: Bring a group so that you can try as many of these small plates as possible without over-ordering.
