Visitor Information -- Located in the town's restored train station, the Luray-Page County Chamber of Commerce, 18 Campbell St., Luray, VA 22835 (tel. 888/743-3915 or 540/743-3915; fax 540/743-3944; www.luraypage.com), is a good source of information about Shenandoah National Park. From Main Street (Business U.S. 211) go south on Broad Street (Business U.S. 340). Open daily 9am to 5pm.

Getting There -- Luray occupies the junction of U.S. 211 and U.S. 340. From Shenandoah National Park, take U.S. 211 west. From I-81, follow U.S. 211 East (this scenic road goes up and over Massanutten Mountain). From Front Royal, take U.S. 340 south. While U.S. 211 bypasses Luray to the north, Business U.S. 211 goes all the way through town as Main Street. Business U.S. 340 goes through downtown as Broad Street.
