Cazma, Bjelovar, and Daruvar are typical towns in north-central Croatia. Not only are they noted as centers of agriculture, they also are the sites of food-processing plants and other industries vital to the entire country's economy. Daruvar also is known for its large Czech population and as one of the towns that was on the front lines during the 1991 war with Serbia.
